‘All-On-4’ refers to all teeth being supported by only 4 implants. It is a relatively new technique where the back implants are tilted 45º to provide the required stability and support for total rehabilitation. The technique of tilting the back implants helps overcome bone deficiencies often found in the back of the jaws and most often avoids the need for bone grafting. Since less implants are used by comparison to conventional techniques, it also allows for simpler and less costly maintenance and uncomplicated cleaning.

| | The above replacement teeth are permanently screwed to 4 implants. The visible titanium collars sit bellow the gum level (as shown in the picture on the right). The smooth surfaces between the 4 collars facilitate easy cleaning. | The replacement teeth are designed with aesthetic gum replacement. Whilst the undersurface of the replacement teeth fits on the gums, there is no pressure or discomfort and sufficient micro-gap to thread a special floss beneath it. |
Patients with a heavy bite, those who have exceptionally good bone or who have already had bone grafting, may often be treated with 6 or more implants.
