Tooth Implants - Tooth Replacement Treatment | Several Tooth Implant Print E-mail

If you are self-conscious about missing teeth or wearing dentures, dental implants offer a fixed solution for replacing missing or badly diseased teeth.

 Fixed Bridge on Implants

Benefits With Fixed Bridge on Implants:

Replacing two or more teeth with a fixed implant-supported bridge is a freestanding solution and does not involve treatment to the adjacent teeth, if there are teeth on either side of the space. When the far back teeth are not present, a fixed bridge anchored to dental implants is the only fixed alternative. Traditional dentures can't offer the same stability or function.

By reliably replacing missing or damaged teeth, dental implants can stabilize the bite and help prevent problems with any adjacent teeth or jaw. Implant-supported replacement teeth will give you new unparalleled strength and stability that allows you to eat what you want. It will also preserve your jawbone and facial appearance.

Course of treatment

This procedure normally involves four visits to the dentist. You should expect to be able to work the day after having the implants installed. The course of treatment described here is one of several options available. Your dentist will advise you on the best solution for you, given your specific condition and individual needs.

Examination & X-Rays

Visit 1: Examination & X-Rays
Dr Fibishenko performs an examination and takes one or more x-rays. He will then determine your suitability for an implant bridge and explore all other treatment alternatives or simultaneous treatment that may improve appearance, function, or overall dental health. Where one or more teeth require removal, it is often preferable to place the implant fixtures at the same time as the extractions to minimize bone loss. In some cases additional scans or preliminary procedures may be required before implant placement to ensure an optimal result.
Appointment Duration: 15-30 minutes

Installing the Dental Implant
Visit 2: Installing the Dental Implant
The area is made numb and the dental implantsare placed in the jaw below the level of the gum. Dr Fibishenko often performs this procedure with keyhole surgery to minimize discomfort. Healing screws are then inserted to cover the implant and the implants are allowed 3 months to bond with the bone. Where required, some form of temporary teeth is provided, supported by the adjacent teeth. In some cases it is possible to place an immediate temporary bridge attached to the implant at the same time surgical visit, making it possible for you to function like normal almost immediately after leaving the clinic.
Appointment Duration: 30-60 minutes

Impressions and Final Aesthetics Visit 3: Impressions and Final Aesthetics
Once it is confirmed that the implants successfully bonded with the bone, the temporary teeth and/or the healing screws are removed and an impression is taken to make the final permanent bridge that fits over the implants. At this stage Dr Fibishenko and his ceramics technician confirm the aesthetic needs to ensure that shape and color of your new teeth appears natural and meets your expectations. In some cases an additional ‘try-in’ appointment may be to fine-tune the final aesthetics.
Appointment Duration: 30 minutes

Smile Solution
Visit 4: Smile Solution
The final step is to permanently insert the new implant bridge . The replacement teeth of the bridge are connected to each other, and the bridge is fitted in one piece over two or more implants. As function is restored, you can expect your new teeth to look and feel like natural teeth. Dental implants offer a stable and secure solution that allows you to eat what you want and smile with confidence. Caring for the implant bridge involves the same daily oral hygiene process as for natural teeth, including regular brushing and flossing, as well as inter-dental brushes or special floss.
Appointment Duration: 30 minutes

Alternatives To An All-Ceramic Crown On Implant:

Removable partial denture

This alternative is often perceived as uncomfortable and a bit complicated to use. Function can't be compared to that of a bridge. This denture is made of plastic and metal, which affects its look. It is quite expensive to fabricate due to its many parts. However, the installation process is simple, and natural teeth are spared.
